engagement photoshoot Northern Ireland
As soon as Laura and Mark agreed to have their engagement session at Kinbane Castle, I knew it was going to be a special day. It's impossible not to be enchanted by Northern Ireland's stunning beauty, and Kinbane Castle is one of the most unique locations I've ever seen.
When we arrived at Kinbane Castle, unfortunately, the weather turned sour. The skies were filled with dark, brooding clouds, and the rain was unrelenting. Despite the less than ideal conditions, Laura and Mark were up for anything, and we were all excited to begin our photoshoot.
The grounds were slick with rain, but Laura and Mark were more than happy to navigate the drenched fields. We began taking photos at the base of the castle, and despite the weather, the energy was electric. Laura and Mark were so in love, and their joy was infectious.
As we made our way up the castle's hidden staircase, the wind howled around us, and raindrops pelted our faces. There were moments where we had to take a break to compose ourselves but it only added to the sense of adventure and excitement of the day.
Throughout the session, I tried to keep things natural and fun. I want the couples I work with to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, and Laura and Mark were no exception. We laughed, joked, and chatted throughout the entire shoot, and it helped to create images that felt authentic and timeless.
One of the most memorable moments of the day occurred when we reached the top of the castle. The wind was whipping at our hair, and the rain was coming down in sheets. We all took a deep breath and looked out at the incredible view of the North Coast, and it was a moment of true connection and beauty that I will always treasure.
As we wrapped up the shoot and made our way back up the never-ending steps back to the car park, Laura and Mark were glowing with happiness. Despite the rain, we had created something truly special. This engagement shoot was one I won't forget anytime soon – a true adventure, full of fun, creativity, and sparked by the beauty of Northern Ireland.
